The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling items with care for the F.C. Ziegler line of goods and ensuring quality finishes.
- Read and interpret diagrams, bills of material, specifications, drawings, and other technical documents to assemble a finished product.
- Identify and gather finished materials, parts, and tools to complete an item using a bill of materials.
- Identify and report any defects in the assembly process.
- Provide attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Using reason to problem solve.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Work with Quality Control to ensure finished products meet F.C. Ziegler standards.
- Strong understanding of metal casting processes and materials
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with departments within the organization.
- Possess problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Maintain a healthy and safe work environment, report any health or safety hazards, and follow the Company health and safety rules.- Must use proper lifting techniques and be able to lift up to 50 pounds +/- or ask for assistance as needed.
- Ability to perform essential physical job functions requiring; seeing, hearing, bending, standing, walking, handling objects, pushing/pulling, and use fine finger movements with manual dexterity.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
