Job Summary:
The Site Surveyor plays a critical role in the planning and success of solar installations. This position involves conducting on-site evaluations to collect accurate measurements, assess sunlight exposure, document roof and electrical conditions, and identify potential obstructions that may affect solar system design and installation. The information gathered directly informs the design and engineering teams and ensures that each solar project is planned correctly and executed efficiently.
Essential Functions:
•Conduct thorough on-site evaluations of properties for solar installations.
•Inspect roof condition, main service panel, and structural components.
•Measure roof dimensions, slope (pitch), and rafter spacing.
•Accurately sketch proposed solar panel layouts.
•Document and photograph all site conditions, including shading and obstructions.
•Identify and propose appropriate locations for inverters, conduit runs, and equipment placement.
•Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure survey data supports accurate design specifications.
•Deliver plans and documents to job sites as needed.
•Adhere to all safety protocols during site visits.
•Perform minor tasks such as label installation, breaker installation, and other small tasks to support project completion.

•Operate a company vehicle safely to travel between multiple job sites.
•Communicate effectively with office staff and customers, providing accurate arrival times and updates.
•Interpret blueprints, site maps, and technical drawings.
•Punctual, reliable, and accountable for assigned responsibilities.
•Possess a functioning smartphone for communication and documentation purposes.
•Comfortable interacting face-to-face with homeowners.
•Adaptable and professional in handling diverse customer interactions.
Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or equivalent required.
•Minimum 1 years of experience in solar, electrical, or related field.
•Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.
•Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
•Comfortable walking, standing, and working outdoors for extended periods.
•Ability to work in various weather conditions.
•Capable of climbing ladders and accessing second-story or multi-story rooftops.
•Able to lift and transport large ladders and safely secure them to a vehicle.
