- Bachelor’s degree in safety or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience
- 1-8 years of professional safety experience in industries such as sand/mining, agriculture, construction, or manufacturing/production
- Basic level of proficiency in the areas of occupational and process safety
- Strong communications skills – verbal, active listening, writing and public speaking
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- High level of ethics, integrity and professionalism
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Flexible hours to work with teams on all shifts
The Safety Technician is responsible for leading, promoting and actively engaging plant associates to ensure a culture of health, safety and accountability. This will include safety and health administration, training, coaching, mentoring, inspections, auditing, and monitoring the site safety and health compliance.
