Job Summary
As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for delivering products, supplies, and equipment to customer job sites while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety procedures. This role involves operating trucks for pickups and deliveries of hazardous and non-hazardous materials to and from organization, supplier, and customer sites. Deliveries may include complex routes, night shifts, and handling dangerous materials.
- Safe Transport: Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tankers and hazardous material trucks, to deliver and pick up materials from various locations.
- DOT Compliance: Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards to ensure compliance during transportation.
- Loading and Unloading: Load inventory onto the truck and safely unload at customer sites, ensuring all materials are secured in compliance with safety regulations.
- Material Handling: Transport hazardous and dangerous materials with care, adhering to specific handling and transport guidelines.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all vehicles and ensure they are properly maintained and safe to operate.
- Communication: Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and team members to coordinate deliveries and address any concerns.
- Availability: Be available for shift work, turnaround projects, and on-call assignments during weekends as required.
- TWIC Card: Must hold a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
- CDL License: CDL Class A with Hazardous and Tanker endorsements, along with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial trucking experience.
- Certifications: Ability to complete site safety courses, including 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
- Professionalism: Maintain a clean, professional appearance and demonstrate excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
- Safety-Oriented: Strong focus on safety, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Fit for Duty: Must pass a fit test.
- Experience with hydro excavators, air machines, and vacuum trucks (70bbl and 130bbl).
- Familiarity with roll-off trucks (3-axle, 5-axle, and double haulers) and dry vans (53ft box).
- Experience with hazardous waste transportation and out-of-state transport.
- At least 2 years of industry-related experience (preferred).
