Seeking a hands on Analytics Professional with 6+ years' experience proficient in Microsoft SQL Server. The ideal candidate will excel at building and optimizing queries to support business insights and decision-making processes.
As a Manager of Business Intelligence, you will play a crucial role in implementing, improving, and maintaining Looker reports. This includes partnering and consulting with business and analytics teams to provide guidance and assistance in creating and streamlining Looker reports.
Google Looker is our primary platform for sharing Business Intelligence, relevant operating data and analytics to provide operating insights.
This is NOT A REMOTE position. This is a hybrid model, which will require two or more days per week on site at the Stamford CT location to support team collaboration.
Job Responsibilities:
•Interacting with Executives, Operations Personnel and Stakeholders, to understand their needs and translate them into end - to - end data solutions.
•Strong experience collaborating with non-data stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate those into business reporting products.
•Expertise in database technologies (Microsoft SQL) and working with large sets of data. Ideally have some experience with Google Looker to present solutions and KPIs
•This role is critical for leveraging the power of Google Looker to provide valuable data insights and drive data-informed decision-making within the organization. This role will be crucial in building and maintaining data models in Looker, developing insightful reports
•Ability to become a subject matter expert with Google Looker, both as a development platform and visualization tool
•Be responsible for maintaining security and data access models within Looker
•Monitor and optimize the performance of our Looker instance
•Provide guidance and support to end-users on how to effectively use Looker and Looker Studio.
Technical Expertise:
•Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including stored procedures, and functions.
•Six or more years of experience working within data and analytics and ideally some exposure to the Google Looker product.
Other Skills:
•Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
•Ability to work with complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
