Tree Harvester Operator
Zell Industries is a stump to dump forest company that has been in the business for over 40 years. We have operations in both North & Central Alberta with our office located in Spruce Grove.
Currently we are looking for a reliable, conscientious Tree Harvesting Operator with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to perform commercial thinning on various tree plantations in north central Alberta. This is a full-time permanent position for 9-10 months per year operating newer machines. For the successful candidate, this position will pay a competitive market wage as well as include accommodations & a Health Spending Account after 3-month probationary period.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license & clean abstract
- Must have previous experience operating a wheel harvester
- Mechanically inclined
- Self-motivated
- Must work well alone as well as a team player
- Very good attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
Asset:
- Experience operating a Ponsse Wheel Harvester
- Commercial thinning experience
- Experience operating a log forwarder
Preferred candidate would have an understanding in the working methodology and the objectives in relation to Commercial Thinning.
