Job Title: Automotive Painter Location: Shelby, NC Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pay: $18/hour
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Painter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to large truck bodies and components, ensuring durability and an excellent final appearance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare truck bodies and components for painting (sanding, masking, priming, and surface cleaning).
- Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and finishes.
- Apply primers, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns and other equipment.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
- Maintain painting equipment, tools, and the paint booth in clean, safe working condition.
- Follow all company safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with production team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an automotive painter (truck or heavy equipment painting experience preferred).
- Knowledge of painting techniques, surface prep, and finishing processes.
- Ability to read and follow work orders and technical instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work long shifts.
