Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement of materials and supplies necessary for our operations. This position requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of supply chain management, and the ability to effectively source quality products while maintaining cost efficiency. The Buyer will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that production planning aligns with inventory needs.
Duties
•Conduct sourcing activities to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet company standards.
•Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms.
•Manage materials management processes, including inventory control and demand forecasting.
•Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
•Collaborate with production planning teams to align procurement strategies with production schedules.
•Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements in AS400 or similar systems.
•Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
•Develop strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and resolve any issues that may arise.
Qualifications
•Familiar using ERP system, preferable with Epicor 10
•Able to engage both internal and external suppliers in a professional manner.
•Familiarity with production planning processes and materials management principles.
•Be able to use Microsoft Office tools, Excel, Word, and Outlook
•Familiar processing purchasing requisitions and issuing purchasing orders
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across departments.
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
•Support sending out tools and machine parts for repair
•Issue RFQ's and complete RFQ analysis.
•Process invoices and address any pricing issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.53 per hour
