Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing petroleum equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
•Installation: Set up new fuel dispensers, point-of-sale systems, and related equipment.
•Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
•Repair: Diagnose and resolve issues with malfunctioning equipment, including mechanical and electrical components.
•Troubleshooting: Identify and fix problems with fuel pumps, piping, and associated systems.
•Customer Support: Communicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues and solutions, maintaining strong customer relationships.
•Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used.
•Parts Management: Order and manage parts inventory as needed for repairs.
Qualifications
•High school diploma or GED.
•Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience in servicing equipment
•Strong mechanical and electrical/electronic aptitude.
•Ability to use hand tools proficiently.
•Proficiency with computers and diagnostic tools.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Excellent customer service and communication skills.
•Willingness to work outdoors year-round, travel overnight as needed, and participate in an on-call rotation.
•Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
