We are looking for experienced installers to join our team on a seasonal basis from now until December 31, 2025.

Job Duties:

● Comply with Luminalt’s policies and procedures

● Build Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage systems (ESS) on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics

● Assess the job site, identify and resolve any potential hazards

● Create or interpret the PV and energy storage installation plans, mapping out the steps of the installation and where all of the components will be installed

● Install PV and ESS systems in accordance with local safety regulations and the specifications of the manufacturer

● Build PV racking, equipment mounting, conduit bending, electrical wiring, and daily cleanup

Required Skills:

To safely and correctly:

● Use appropriate personal protective equipment

● Use appropriate fall arrest and fall restraint systems - 100% fall protection compliant ● Work at heights and on ladders

● Use hand and power tools

● Complete basic electrical work, especially 240v circuits

● Take precise measurements and apply them to construction projects

● Layout and plan systems

● Construct rooftop racking and mount panels

● Troubleshoot basic solar issues

● Communicate and interact with customers

● Perform jobsite cleanup, van organization, warehouse prep and other miscellaneous tasks

● Clock in and clock out accurately - timesheets must be accurate

● Other work as necessary to install well constructed high performing systems

Qualifications:

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

● Valid CA driver's license with a clean driving record

Strong desire to work in the solar energy business

● Strong desire to work hands-on out in the field

● Experience working in residential or commercial construction such as solar, electrical, roofing, or carpentry trades is a plus

● Strong mechanical aptitude

● Detail oriented

● Self directed, independent, and solution oriented

● Safety oriented - able to work on rooftops and on construction sites in a safe manner and apply the appropriate safety PPE

Physical Requirements:

● Ability to work outside for extended periods of time

● Ability to work at heights

● High level of manual dexterity to grasp, move or assemble small objects

● Auditory and visual skills – Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus ● Interpret and follow a variety of instructions and procedures furnished in English - written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

● Occasional travel may be required

● Drive a work vehicle including full sized trucks and vans

● Lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects approximately 50 lbs

Employment is conditional based on passing a pre-employment drug screening, background check, DMV record check and pre-employment physical. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
