McCallum Rock Drilling (MRD) is a rock drilling and blasting contractor based out of Chehalis, WA, that has been in business since 1988. MRD operates in commercial quarries, surface mines, timberlands and construction sites throughout the Western US.
MRD is seeking a full-time Social Media & Marketing Specialist that will be based out of our Salem, Oregon office. The Social Media & Marketing Specialist will be spending most of his or her time on the road visiting numerous job sites throughout the Pacific Northwest. Their main responsibility is to collect and create engaging content for our followers/viewers, and to manage our social media platforms. The goal of the Social Media & Marketing Specialist is to increase brand awareness and engagement. The ideal candidate must have a clean driving record, can pass a pre-employment drug test, clean background, and will have at least 1-2 years of previous social media or marketing experience. - Complies with all MRD Safety policies and procedures
- Ability to get FAA Part 107 drone license within 30 days of hire (if he/she doesn't already have 107 license)
- Expected to operate all drones and other equipment in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
- Willing to spend most of their time in the field in an effort to collect & create content
- Able to manage social media platforms
- Able to create video reels, highlight videos, safety videos etc.
- Willing to stay overnight in hotels from time to time, depending on scheduling and job site locations
- Able to work early mornings and long days
- Willing to get their feet muddy and work in various weather conditions
- Will directly report and communicate with Marketing Manager
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable transportation to the home base
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations within last 3 years)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test
- Clean criminal background
- Must be a self starter and flexible with schedule changes
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Innovative mindset
- Previous video editing software experience strongly preferred
- At least 1-2 years Social Media or Marketing experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred, but not required
