At All Energy Solar, the sales team is the engine that drives the consumer reach of our solar and roofing solutions. We have operated a successful roofing division for numerous years, and are looking for a sales leader to take us to an even greater place. We’re seeking a
qualified sales manager who can help keep this engine running with their own sales skills as well as leadership of a team of driven sales consultants. The ideal sales manager has deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing. We’re looking for a sales leader who can sell roofing and lead other roofing sales consultants and who has strong negotiating skills — someone with a successful roofing sales track record who can inspire the same performance in others. The role demands a leader who has a sharp mind and an ability to sell and lead, coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales consultants while building and maintaining a high-performance team.
- Manage roofing sales team's performance including selling roofing and collaborates with leadership to develop sales goals and strategies.
- Organize and lead storm damage response plans.
- Work with the marketing team to drive brand awareness and recognition.
- Develop and maintain strategies to increase non-storm related sales.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with sales consultants.
- Provides leadership and motivation to the sales team to ensure goals are met.
- Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
- Train and advise sales team in consulting with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
- Positively represent the company at a variety of industry and consumer facing events.
- Develop skills continuously for hiring, training, and leading team members, and ensure that they're using effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives and satisfy customer needs.
- This position requires work in-home, in-person and virtual customer home appointments/presentations, at events, and company locations and may require additional hours outside of normal working hours including but not limited to mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned by management.- Ten (10) + years of sales experience (preferably in the construction or renewable energy sectors) including at least Five (5) years of Roofing sales experience (required).
- At least five (5) years of successful history as a Sales Manager with a proven track record of sales leadership experience.
- Expert storm damage response strategist.
- Possess extensive canvassing experience.
- Previous proven experience selling roofing or other exterior products, and insurance claim work.
- Proficiency with sales estimating software tools such as GAF Quick Roof and Xactimate.
- Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms (preferred).
- Proficient in Google Suite/Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Calendar, Forms, Docs, Gmail) or related software.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends (extended hours) to engage prospective customers.
- Ability and willingness to conduct in-home assessments of roof damage, as well as use online resources for evaluations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and mathematical aptitude.
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
- Familiarity and or desire to work within the renewable energy industry.
- In-depth understanding of the sales administration process.
- Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal and team management skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team.
- Positive and problem-solving attitude.
- Driven and ambitious individual with a strong desire to succeed.
- Must possess a valid State Driver’s License.
- Must complete and clear an MVR (motor vehicle) background screen.
- Must have reliable transportation for work/sales and business development purposes.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (frequent).
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times (infrequent).
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute (frequent).
