JOB SUMMARY:
•
To perform spot welding using resistance welders/machines.
•
To join aluminum material by applying appropriate welding techniques.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•
Receives instructions, prints, and router for the job.
•
Work according to prints, procedure and fixtures.
•
Cleans and prepares surfaces to be spot welded, sets up spot welding machine, spot weld materials.
•
Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
•
Support production schedule by safely performing work efficiently.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Knowledge of spot welding, adhesives and templates.
•
Spot weld pull testing and to maintain test logs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
•
Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent degree in a related area.
•
Requires 5 years work experience in the field of restiance spot welding or a related area.
•
Work may involve other manufacturing tasks.
•
Requires the wearing of personal protective equipment.
