We’re seeking a creative, driven, and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to support and enhance our marketing efforts—helping tell our story while promoting engagement, community connection, and brand awareness.
This full-time role will support marketing initiatives for both YCNGA and Patriots Energy Group (PEG).
As Marketing Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering impactful marketing and communications efforts. You’ll collaborate across departments and with external partners to keep our brand fresh, our messaging clear, and our community engaged.
- Support development of digital, print, and media campaigns.
- Design engaging content for newsletters, flyers, brochures, and more.
- Keep website content up to date and user-friendly.
- Create and share content resources with PEG partners to promote natural gas awareness.
- Develop social media strategy and content calendar based on relevant events, initiatives, and industry requirements
- Manage and schedule content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.
- Monitor engagement and respond to customer interactions.
- Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Organize and represent YCNGA at local events, employee functions, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Maintain and monitor ongoing event calendar
- Coordinate event logistics including materials, vendors, and volunteers
- Promote and support the Community Investment Initiative.
- Track applications, manage follow-ups, and ensure proper reporting of sponsorships and donations.
- Build strong relationships with community organizations and gas authority partners.
- Work within established marketing budgets and accurately track related expenses
- Stay current on industry trends and marketing best practices.
- Assist with other marketing-related projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing or communications.
- Current marketing portfolio — PLEASE NOTE: APPLICATIONS WITHOUT A PORTFOLIO WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
- Experience in utilities or public service is preferred, but not a requirement
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable managing social platforms and content calendars.
- Strong event coordination and multitasking abilities.
- Familiar with website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress).
- Self-motivated and passionate about community involvement.
- Photography/videography skills are a bonus.
- Valid South Carolina driver’s license with clean MVR.
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug screening.
- Background check required.
- Occasional evening or weekend availability for events.
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally outside service area (1–2 times/year).
