We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

This highly visible role serves to manage projects, including strategic initiatives, transactions and reporting, with a solutions-oriented mindset. This role is focused on unique events and complex transactions as well as the evaluation of compliance with existing GAAP and/or SEC disclosure guidance and the application of new or updated GAAP and SEC guidance. Duties/skills in this role include:Plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation through completion.
Analyze and research information, while also effectively summarizing that information for leadership to aid and guide in decision making processes and/or reporting purposes. Manage projects both within the team and across various groups inside and outside of accounting, to ensure on-time completion according to specifications.
Serve as a key point of contact and expert providing leadership with functional advice, guidance and solutions for various departments throughout the company specific to transactions such as Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Business Development, Corporate Finance, and others. Run special projects and provide technical accounting/financial accounting support as a subject matter expert (SME) to cross-functional teams on various business transactions and complex accounting and reporting matters. Independently and effectively interacts with internal and external customers. Manage and/or review work of other team members as requested by Leadership.
7-8+ years of accounting experience; or 7 years of public accounting experience.
Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:
Excellent effective communication (written and verbal) around complex accounting concepts to all levels within the organization and outside an organization – peers, senior management, auditors, standard-setting and/or regulatory organizations.
Must be a self-starter who can problem solve independently, provide solutions and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred; strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is a requirement.
Ability to manage projects/tasks independently, including confidence in one’s own ability to develop interpretive conclusions, make recommendations and assist/provide guidance to less experienced accountants.
Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), practices and procedures.
Customer service focused with ability to contribute innovative ideas and process improvement suggestions and see those changes through to implementation.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
