Precise Pipe manufactures and distributes seamless and welded carbon steel pipe with an obsession for customer satisfaction, exceptional quality, rapid supply, and tailored solutions. With over 60 years of expertise, we are a North American leader in steel pipe solutions, supported by our own mills, and a global inventory network. Our North American operations serve upstream and downstream oil and gas markets with OCTG, transmission, tailings, and facility line pipes, along with low-alloy pipes and pipe derivative products such as frac sleeves, perforating guns, and setting tools. Beyond energy, our non-oil and gas divisions focus on galvanized products and OEM parts.
We are establishing a new CNC shop in BC, focused on precision machining and long-term growth. This is a unique opportunity to help build the shop from the ground up, shape processes, and lead a small technical team.

We are establishing a precision machining workshop in Richmond, BC. Selected technicians will receive four months of paid training in China to master specialized equipment and processes.
- Lead the technical planning and setup of CNC operations, including machine selection, tooling, and shop layout.
- Develop machining standards, workflows, and quality control procedures.
- Oversee CNC programming, setup, and process development for future production.
- Troubleshoot machining, tolerance, and quality issues during initial operations.
- Provide technical input for equipment purchases, quoting, and production planning.
- Recruit, train, and mentor machinists and programmers as the shop grows.
- Ensure all processes meet drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Red Seal certification preferred; trade school diploma or equivalent experience accepted.
- 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (milling, turning, or multi-axis).- Strong CNC programming, setup, tooling, and process knowledge.
- Experience planning or commissioning CNC equipment and workflows.
- Solid understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and machining tolerances.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot machining, quality, and process issues independently.
- Leadership or lead-hand experience guiding machinists or apprentices.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Must be fluent in Mandarin Chinese 普通话 (English not required).
- Must be Permanent Resident (PR) or Canadian Citizen.
- Knowledge or experience in CNC machining preferred.
- Careful, detail-oriented, and able to follow precise instructions.
- Willing to travel to China for 4-month paid training.
