Your contribution!
Reporting to the Director – Tax, you will work closely with the other members of the company's tax team, mainly in Canadian and U.S. taxation.
Your day-to-day!•Coordinate the execution of indirect tax tax compliance processes, answer questions from the accounting department, keep them informed of changes and support them during audits;
•Coordinate the production of various tax forms and slips, such as Form 1099, utility tax forms, T4A-NR slips
•Participate in the preparation of tax returns:
•Prepare the information necessary for the filing of certain returns and complete certain forms (mainly Canadian); Faire une première revue de certaines déclarations canadiennes;
•Participate in the preparation of certain tax choices;
•Prepare a summary of the tax attributes appearing in the returns;;
•Analyze notices of assessment and corroborate the tax positions taken and follow up on the actions to be taken;
•Make calls to tax authorities to discuss and resolve discrepancies;
•Track the payment of the company's instalments;
•Coordinate the registration and maintenance of access to electronic services made available by tax authorities;
•Maintain the list of company entities on an ad hoc basis
•Open/close tax and withholding accounts and file the necessary forms (W-8BEN, W-9) in different regions;
•Verify information when opening new U.S. supplier accounts;
•Sort the tax department's mail and determine the actions to be taken;
•Maintain the filing of electronic documents.
Your skills, our requirements!
•Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of corporate taxation or in a big accounting firm ;
•Undergraduate university education in accounting or other relevant field;
•Graduate university education in taxation completed or in the process of being obtained, an asset ;
•Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is required to ensure collaboration with different stakeholders outside of Québec on a regular basis.

•The position can be based in the company's Longueuil (Quebec) headquarters, Vancouver (BC) office.
