Topper Industries is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Estimator/Sales Representative to join our team in Woodland, WA. This hybrid role combines technical estimating with relationship-based sales. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can analyze project specs, build competitive proposals, and work closely with both internal teams and external customers to ensure successful project execution.
You’ll be a key player in identifying new opportunities, shaping project scopes, and helping our customers turn complex plans into real-world builds.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities across commercial, industrial, and marine markets
- Analyze customer requirements, drawings, and bid documents to develop accurate cost estimates
- Prepare detailed, competitive proposals using proprietary pricing tools and internal guidelines
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to ensure alignment from bid through delivery
- Serve as a liaison between customers and internal stakeholders to keep communication clear and projects on track
- Negotiate pricing, scope, and contract terms with professionalism and attention to detail
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, materials, and methods related to metal fabrication and floating structures
- Support pre- and post-award activities, including scope clarification, budget adjustments, and change order pricing
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of relevant experience in construction estimating, sales, or project management preferred
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and legal bid documents
- Familiarity with structural aluminum and floating structure fabrication
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and project estimating tools
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Woodland, WA
