Summary

We’re looking for a Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our commercial solar installation team. In this role, you’ll work under the supervision of a Master Electrician to install and maintain solar PV electrical systems across Texas. You’ll be a key part of delivering safe, high-quality, and code-compliant projects while representing the company with professionalism on every job site.

Responsibilities

- Execute electrical work for commercial solar PV systems in compliance with NEC, local codes, and Master Electrician standards.

- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

- Maintain strong safety practices, with a focus on quality assurance and control.

- Collaborate with project managers, installers, and other team members to complete projects on schedule.

- Provide troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning support for PV systems.

- Travel within Texas as needed to support multiple projects.

- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients.

- Deliver excellent customer service during all phases of installation.

Qualifications

- Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License (required).

- Valid Texas Driver’s License (required).

- Work authorization in the United States (required).

- Previous experience with solar PV system installations preferred.

- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

- Highly reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

- Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-based environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge & Skills

- Solid understanding of local electrical codes and compliance standards.

- Knowledge of commercial PV design, system components, and large-scale arrays.

- Familiarity with construction trades (roofing, carpentry, metal framing, conduit bending, etc.).

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.

- Skilled in using electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting systems.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to follow and give instructions clearly.

- Ability to safely drive and maneuver trucks and trailers.

Physical Requirements

- Comfortable working at heights and on commercial rooftops.

- Able to lift 50–75+ lbs routinely and safely.

- Capable of bending, squatting, stretching, and working in physically demanding conditions.

- Willing to work outdoors in varying temperatures (30–100+ degrees) and weather conditions.
