Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 7+ years’ experience in an information systems and technology environment: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, data center, and cloud connectivity, security methods and topology, firewalls, cabling and network administration.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
• Able to plan your own work and to work with a minimum of supervision
• Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
Essential Skills
•Demonstrated expertise in technology platforms such as:
Microsoft Windows & Linux Servers and applications
SAN storage systems and associated iSCSI
Fiber Channel Network Hardware
LAN/WAN firewalls, routers, and switches
Various filtering and performance monitoring systems
Hardware virtualization systems
Disaster Recovery solutions
Cybersecurity-related applications
•Proven ability to design and implement secure network architectures
•Create comprehensive network documentation, including designs, diagrams, and operational procedures.
•Collaboratively develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect company assets.
•The ideal candidate will also possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
•Experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID is helpful.
•Professional certifications in cybersecurity, such as CISSP or CISM, are preferred.
•A professional certification in networking, such as CCNP, is also a plus.
Job Functions
This position has responsibility for Information Systems (IS) network infrastructure design, administration, and documentation of the Server, Storage, Virtualization, Database, and Network Infrastructure landscape. Uses tools and experience to analyze and evaluate current architectures, make recommendations for new infrastructure designs and changes to improve overall system performance, security, and maintainability. Also, provide technical guidance in troubleshooting infrastructure issues. Provides technical assistance to other IS/IT support staff, Member Owners, and Big Rivers vendors and employees as required.
