Job Summary
An administration mechanical design position involves managing projects and supporting shop teams by handling documentation, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with standards. This role requires a blend of administrative and technical skills to oversee the transfer of information from new order to completion, ensuring effective communication and organization throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create work orders for the shop floor
- Develop and design mechanical systems and components using CAD software such as Fusion 360
- Documentation management, organize project-related documents, including quotes, drawings, correspondence, and schedules
- Coordinate with various project stakeholders, including fabricators, and suppliers, to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
- Assist in developing and implementing department standards, and ensure projects comply with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot design issues and implement effective solutions.
- Create and organize quality documents
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software and drafting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on mechanical design challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects efficiently.
