The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $114,332.80 - $142,916
Job Summary
This role provides strategic leadership and operational support across Avangrid Networks to advance compliance initiatives for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Service Management (SM) processes. The position plays a critical role in supporting grid modernization and digital transformation efforts by ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient management of IAM and SM systems. This position can be located in Rochester, NY or Orange, CT with occasional travel to all locations.
Key Responsibilities
Identity and Access Management (IAM):
- Lead the design, deployment, and evolution of IAM solutions aligned with a zero-trust security framework.
- Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on IAM technologies, ensuring compliance with NIST 800-63, GDPR, SOX, CEII, and NERC standards.
- Develop and maintain IAM policies, standards, and metrics to ensure high availability, repeatability, and performance.
- Support implementation of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools for IAM-related processes.
- Evaluate and manage IAM vendors and third-party solutions for compliance and regulatory alignment.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on IAM best practices to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and support IAM systems daily, ensuring resilience and risk reduction.
- Lead the design and implementation of SM processes using tools like ServiceNow to serve as a single source of truth for OSG Asset, Incident, Change, Request and Incident Management.
- Collaborate with engineers and SMEs to develop and maintain SM processes and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with NERC CIP regulations (e.g., CIP002, CIP013) and maintain traceability of regulated assets.
- Enhance security policies and SM procedures to align with evolving IT/OT landscapes.
- Provide mentoring and governance support to operational teams to ensure process adherence and compliance.- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field (master’s degree preferred) or 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in IAM and service management within regulated industries.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar service management platforms.
- Experience with SailPoint, CyberArk, ForgeRock or similar access management platforms.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- Strong Project/Program Management Skills (Understands leadership and team management skills. Proficient in project management tools and software – Gantt charts, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) Analytical and problem-solving skills specific to Digital Identities
