The quality systems position involves developing, implementing, and auditing quality management systems to ensure products, processes, and operations meet industry standards and customer requirements. Key responsibilities include performing internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining quality documentation, analyzing data, recommending corrective actions, and providing training to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate External Audits with accrediting bodies in order to maintain certifications and qualifications.
- Produce and execute the Company’s Yearly Internal Audit Plan.
- Oversee Internal Audit Program by ensuring proper completion of internal audits, maintaining digital records on completed audits and coordinating auditor training.
- Conduct External Audits on the Quality Management System of suppliers, converters, and outside testing laboratories.
- Maintain the Company’s QMS documentation.
- Must become qualified as a Lead Auditor.
- Review and approve outside mechanical testing invoices.
- Robust knowledge of quality standards.
- Experience with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems.
- Proficient in using a PC and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstration of leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able go into various manufacturing environments for auditing purposes.
- Must be willing to travel between local facilities and occasionally to customers/vendors.
- Primarily a day-shift position, but must be willing and able to work occasional off-shifts and weekends as needed.
