This is a 2-year program in which you will support trading desks in all day-to-day activities, including Traffic, Risk, Middle Office, and Business Development. Exploring other commercial areas of the business can include Operations, who are responsible for the logistical and financial execution of each trade. Trainees participate in monitoring a trader’s exposures and ensuring a detailed position summary is kept.
A graduate will be responsible for a broad range of activities on the desk e.g. risk/exposure of trades and making sure it is properly documented and calculated consistently. The monitoring of futures that are near expiry (where applicable), and determining what to hedge (checked with Trader). The graduate is expected to provide commentary on the daily profitability reports to explain P&L movements - this requires the trainee to have a strong understanding of the P&L and other relevant market information related to the matrix.
Compensation:
$105K annually, plus a range of benefits.
