Shop Positions: ☒In Field ☒Traveling as Required ☐In Shop Pay Type: ☐ Exempt (Salary) ☒ Non-Exempt (Hourly) Reports To: Fleet Director and Shop Foreman
· Drug/Medical Testing: Preemployment Drug Screening and DOT physical
· Driver’s license and MVR requirement: Valid Class ‘A” CDL Driver’s License with no restrictions and a clean MVR
· Education: High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
o Minimum of 2 years’ previous experience as a diesel mechanic or be a graduate of a technical school with
o Must be qualified to perform DOT MCSA annual inspections, or willing to obtain this qualification
· Technical Skills: Must have intermediate level computer skills for day-to-day operations, sending emails, navigating phone apps and completing fleet reports
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
· The primary role is to safely and quickly do what is required to keep our equipment operational and productive
· With little supervision, you will be required to complete large and small equipment repairs in the field
o Types of repairs include engine, electrical, hydraulic and chassis
· You will assist with ensuring maintenance is up to date, and perform scheduled preventative equipment
· Help with employee equipment operation training, ensure inspections are completed, and equipment is taken out of service if damaged or broken

· Wears all required protective and safety equipment while performing tasks that require it.
· Must be able to safely maneuver and walk around job sites
· Required to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 pounds
· Able to speak and hear information through oral communication.
· Has visual acuity to see items clearly and sharply.
· Must be able to work in tight or confined spaces.
· Excluding storm projects- work schedules/hours can be up to 12-hour days and up to 60-hours per week
· When assigned to a project full time, unless repairs are required off hitch, you will work the same hitch as the crew, which is normally 10 on 4 off
· Due to the unpredictable nature of equipment failures and breakdowns, you must be able to adapt to sudden schedule changes
· Since this is a remote position, expect to be gone for extended periods
· Must be willing to work nights, weekends, out of town, overtime, outages, and storm calls as required
