Software Engineer
to join our dynamic technical team. This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to build cutting-edge solutions that impact communities and utilities across the country.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a critical full-stack role, contributing to both front-end and back-end development of our cloud-based SCADA web applications. Your work will directly affect our customers’ ability to monitor and control infrastructure like water systems, pump stations, and more.
Key contributions include:
•Designing, developing, testing, and deploying new application features
•Collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers to build scalable, maintainable code
•Mentoring peers and conducting code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality code
•Supporting occasional on-call rotations to troubleshoot and resolve system outages
What You Bring to the Team
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced engineer who thrives in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
•5+ years of hands-on software development experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience
•Strong experience with Ruby/Ruby on Rails or similar back-end frameworks
•Proficiency with modern front-end technologies (JavaScript, Svelte, Ember, Highcharts, GraphQL, WebSockets)
•SQL and NoSQL database experience, including time-series databases
•Skilled in debugging and resolving complex system and network issues
•Comfortable writing automated tests and documenting your work
Bonus Points For:
•Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
•Familiarity with Kubernetes (especially EKS) and AWS cloud infrastructure
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
