About This Job
Avalon Controls Ltd. is an electrical, controls and instrumentation engineering and technical services company servicing the offshore oil and gas, marine, power generation, mining and process automation industries. We are presently seeking a Business Development Professional to drive marketing initiatives for the business. A list of potential responsibilities include:
•
Development of a business development roadmap, detailing the steps for growth in existing markets and ways to break into new markets. Part of this strategy will include a list of key performance indicators which will help guide future business development activities.

Contacting previous and potential clients to solicit new business opportunities.
•
Determining ways to increase the technical and surplus sales revenue.
•
Promoting awareness of the company’s service offering.
•
Develop marketing and promotional material.
•
Manage the company’s social media presence and website.
•
Maintaining the client contact database.
•
Maintaining company past-projects portfolio.
•
Attending industry events.
•
Seeking grants and funding for various initiatives.
Qualifications
•
A bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, marketing or related field.
•
Experience with common design tools for development of website and social media content.
•
Experience with SEO and website development.
•
At least 5 years experience working in a similar role.
•
Some electrical/controls technical background or aptitude is required.
The successful candidate will be charismatic and outgoing. The position will require some travel and worksite attendance. This is a contract position with flexible working hours and ability to work remotely.
Pay: TBD based on experience and agreed upon hours.
