Compensation: This position will be paid on an established base rate of compensation (either hourly or salary) based on the Associate’s experience, plus a monthly stipend for mileage and other related expenses. REP also offers benefits. Compensation will also include a commission based on the estimated total project costs on projects that are contracted for development by Renewable Energy Partners in which the Associate plays a significant role in closing. Compensation will be subject to review and adjustment after six months, based upon an evaluation of performance.
1. Minimum two years of educational background and/or work experience in sales, government or business management.
2. Some knowledge of solar energy and other renewable energy systems and the willingness to participate in professional development regarding the renewable energy sector and new developments in clean energy fields.
3. Proven ability to expand priority sales channels, develop and achieve sales targets.
4. Proven ability to work as part of a small management team and participate in regular meetings to integrate sales functions as part of overall business strategies.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work pro-actively with prospective customers through direct engagement.
6. Basic proficiency in basic business operations software, tools and marketing platforms.
7. Willingness to participate in consistent practice and reviews of performance.
8. High levels of honesty and integrity with customers and awareness of position’s role in building and maintaining a positive image and brand for the company.

Job Overview: As the Solar Sale Associate at REP, this position will be primarily responsible for generating sales leads, following up on leads, and working with customers on step-by-step decision-making that leads to agreements from customers for REP to develop solar and related clean energy projects. The Associate should be self-motivated and able to work on their own with technical, financial and executive support from other REP staff as needed. Most of the work will be at project sites in direct contact with prospective customers, with some regular in-person meetings with REP team members. The Associate will also play an important advisory role in REP’s overall sales and marketing strategy.
