Support Stamping Engineering staff in range of assignments (see below). Candidate should possess a mechanical aptitude and ability to adapt quickly to new information.
1. Scanning of parts/tools, generate comparison reports (some local travel required)
2. Develop CAD models of solid and sheet components
3. Create 2D detailed drawings of die and fixture components
4. Support efforts to develop innovative technologies to enhance DTG’s engineering capabilities.
5. Offer cost saving suggestions and participate in productivity improvement initiatives
6. Stay current with the developments in the related Software/Hardware industry.
7. Apply Value Analysis/Value Engineering methods to products to increase value and lower costs.
As skills improve through assignments and training (hands-on and classroom), candidate will be assigned more challenging tasks (die processing, NC toolpath, die-face development).
Experience using 3D CAD modeling software required (NX, CATIA V5 preferred).
