We’re hiring a certified journeyman electrician for a federal prevailing wage commercial solar project, expected to begin September of 2025 and last approximately three months.
The Electrician is responsible for installing electrical components of commercial solar PV system in Live Oak, CA. Candidates must be an active Journeyman Electrician with certification in the state of California.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Installation of electrical equipment
- Run conduit and pull wire
- Terminate circuits
- Service panel upgrades & modifications
- Circuit relocations
- Underground electrical work
- Commission new PV systems
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure compliance with current NEC and local codes
- Meet with local inspectors
- Report field findings to management in a timely manner
- Create material lists for completion of work per the approved plans
- Assist construction manager and installation teams as needed
- Communicate relevant information to customers in a polite and timely manner
- California General Electrician certification required
- Solar experience preferred
- Be able to work independently and as a team
- Must be comfortable using ladders
- Reliable transportation to and from jobsites
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly- Basic computer proficiency required
- Previous experience utilizing power and hand tools required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredFederal Prevailing Wage Rate: $45.06/base hour + $34.09/hour paid in cash fringe
