The individual will work within the Asset Integrity Engineering department in support of multiple engineering projects. Asset Integrity is responsible for maintaining and executing the Integrity Management Program and maintaining integrity for all of Tallgrass’ pipeline and facilities. The department reviews integrity threats to Tallgrass’ assets to determine how and when to inspect them and supports the execution of these inspections. In addition to executing the Integrity Management Program, Asset Integrity supports pipeline and facility integrity outside of High Consequence Areas (HCAs) through inspection, external and internal corrosion prevention, and geohazard mitigation programs.
The individual in this role will assist with sustaining pipeline integrity management programs for Tallgrass’ assets. This includes collaborating with different departments such as Corrosion, Technical Services, and GIS and Engineering Records to work on projects such as class location studies, material verification, and in-line inspections. The role will also assist with data integration and quality assurance for Asset Integrity projects and staying updated on industry best practices.
- Develop and apply an understanding of pipeline integrity management for liquid and gas pipelines and facilities.
- Work with several different departments including but not limited to Corrosion, Technical Services, Project Management, GIS and Engineering Records, Measurement, and Field Operations.
- Work on multiple different Asset Integrity Engineering projects including but not limited to class location studies, material verification projects, MAOP reconfirmation, cyclic fatigue assessment, in-line inspections, and corrosion mitigation.
- Assist Asset Integrity with data integration and quality assurance for Asset Integrity projects.
- Review industry best practices and guidance while applying these standards within Tallgrass’ Asset Integrity team.
While this internship is largely about supporting the Asset Integrity Engineering group, equally important is the expectation for the selected candidate to gain exposure and experience in an opportunity rich industry. Student actively enrolled in an accredited Engineering institution or a related discipline with expected graduation date of December 2025 through May 2028

Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person/remote hybrid at our Lakewood, CO office. We will host our Summer 2026 interns from May-August for 10 weeks.
- Pay Range $23.22-$31.01 USD Hourly
- The final pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for this role may also include overtime pay; paid time off; a housing stipend; and more.
