To supervise Pre-K children during before and after school hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : include the following.
- Maintain a safe, healthy before and after school Pre-K child care environment.
- Monitor the arrival and departure of the students.
- Promote and support children’s social, emotional and physical development consistent with the philosophy of the Office of Early Learning
- Work with Pre-K instructors to effectively plan, coordinate and carry out child care activities.
- Complete required planning during designated planning time during the work day.
- Monitor the arrival and departure of the students.
- Maintain a safe transition procedure when moving children from one area of the school to another.
- Keep daily records of student attendance and maintain daily attendance logs for all classroom volunteers.
- Report all staffing and classrooms concerns and any unsafe conditions to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigne
- High School diploma or G.E.D. and previous experience with and/or training for working with children in a learning environment.
- Desire to work with children ages three and four.
