The Operator position operates machinery, works with others and Lead Operator to produce quality parts for our customers.
- Ensure parts are plated correctly and machine setups are verified (per Traveler work order)
- Maintain safety and keep the work area organized
- Communicate with the Lead Operator about any issues
- Check part quality, including thickness, chromate, and packaging
- Complete all required paperwork accurately
- Keep the plating line fully loaded and operating efficiently
- Suggest improvements for safety, quality, and efficiency
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the Operator is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The performance of this position requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, appropriate closed-toe shoes, and other PPE as needed. The noise level is moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the Operator is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The employee must occasionally lift and move items up to 50 pounds and assist others with heavier items. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, with work hours from Monday to Friday, and occasional weekends depending on business requirements.
- 1st Shift: 6:45am - 3:00pm
- 2nd Shift: 2:45pm-11:00pm
- 3rd Shift: 10:45pm to 7:00am
- Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Personal and dependable transportation to the job location is required.
- All Lake City Plating associates are subject to needing to commute between our Ashtabula and Jefferson, OH plants as necessary. Mileage is reimbursed.
