Position - Production Manager

About Sesame Solar:

Sesame Solar is decarbonizing off-grid power for defense and commercial applications.

We design and make Mobile Nanogrids powered by solar, green hydrogen, (optional small wind turbines) andbattery storage with fully integrated Solutions Inside. Our Mobile Nanogrids can be used for a variety of off-grid power needs such as Emergency Response, Communications, Medical, Security, Surveillance, EdgeComputing, and EV Charging Hubs. Sesame Nanogrids are easily transported and can be setup by 1 person inless than 15 minutes to immediately generate Clean, Mobile Power.

Key Responsibilities

Factory Operations

•       Ensure the factory environment remains clean, safe, and well-organized at all times.

•       Promote and enforce safety protocols.

Team Leadership

•       Recruit, train, and manage members of the production team.

•       Oversee scheduling, approve payroll hours, and manage Paid Time Off (PTO) requests.

•       Foster a positive and productive team culture through regular communication and performancemanagement.

Production Oversight

•       Monitor production timelines to ensure deadlines are consistently met.

•       Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.

•       Identify and resolve bottlenecks or delays in the manufacturing process.

Inventory Management

•       Maintain and proactively report inventory levels.

•       Work with procurement to avoid stock outs and minimize excess inventory.

Reporting & Analysis

•       Prepare and submit weekly production reports, including key metrics and performance trends.

•       Use data insights to inform process improvements and decision-making.

Cross-functional Collaboration

•       Coordinate and provide support to Sales, Field Support, and Engineering teams.

•       Communicate regularly with upper management on progress, issues, and opportunities.

General Management Support

•       Support broader company operations as needed, especially in areas where flexibility and hands-onproblem solving are critical in an early-stage company environment.

Performance Review & Growth

This role will undergo a formal performance review every six months. Reviews will assess performance across all key responsibilities, with potential for salary increases and performance- based bonuses tied to improvements andcontributions to team and company goals
