Promethean Energy Management LLC’s (PEM) mission and vision is to optimize late-life production and execute seamless decommissioning through tailored, efficient, and cost-effective strategies. We aim to create value for our counterparties while prioritizing safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.
Promethean Energy Management, a subsidiary of Promethean Holdings, has a need for a Project Manager who can provide oversight of all internal and external work throughout the lifecycle of a decommissioning program in the Gulf of Mexico.
This candidate shall plan and manage projects including engineering, construction (or deconstruction), contract negotiations, and operations, within all budget, schedule, and regulatory expectations and to the highest health, safety, and environmental standards.

The role requires significant experience at various levels of engineering and commercial with sufficient time offshore. The candidate is expected to be in the office four days per week. Our starting position is full-time in office.
1. Plan, direct and coordinate all activities of a project including project workflows, document register and risk register.
2. Report the project’s financial and schedule status and highlight key risks, opportunities, and challenges to management and clients
3. Provide technical, project management, and interface management support to all stakeholders involved on the project.
4. Participate on all daily calls and meetings, TBTs, JSAs occurring on platform
5. Be the technical interface between project team in office and offshore including crane group, structural improvements, regulator inspections, PIC/UWA
6. Review and provide operator sign off on all completed procedures/checklists
7. Ensure inventory of equipment and consumables (including rigging inspections) and manage proactive maintenance/repairs
8. Participate in risk reviews onshore and ensure effective communication offshore. Can complete the feedback cycle between onshore and offshore teams
9. Provide signature approval on all PEM documents, ensure that a proper review has been conducted.
10. Participate and review SIMOPS planning and all incident reporting.
11. Conduct any administrative tasks, order supplies, etc.
12. Perform any estimating, planning, safety assessments, etc. required during tender phase or project phase
13. Manage the project management team to ensure those projects comply with company standards and client expectations
14. Manage client & vendor relationships during the project as well as pre- and post-project.
1. Help implement best practices and new work methods to continually improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and productivity.
2. Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative technologies and digital solutions to optimize project delivery and enhance operational efficiency.
3. Recruit, mentor, and manage the project management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
4. Design, refine, and maintain project management systems, processes, and tools to ensure seamless planning, execution, and reporting across all initiatives.
5. Drive business development activities by identifying new opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
6. Support any initiatives or activities as directed by the Decom SVP or Project Director

· Basic computer skills; including MS Office Suite, Primavera P6 or MS Projects, Teams & SharePoint
· Knowledge and interest of new methods and tools which can be deployed to decommissioning
· Knowledge of safe work practices in an offshore environment
· Prior field experience on decommissioning projects for wells, pipelines and facility removals
· Understanding of how technical and commercial elements work together
· Understanding of related project management processes work together - supply chain, HSEQ, risk, project services (scheduling, doc control, cost control).
· Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work with all levels of an organization

- Trouble time experience – Hot Tap, Fishing, Well Control- 10+ years of project experience including offshore decommissioning oil and gas PM experience
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of offshore operations and project management
- Ability to manage time in an environment which requires strong team-work and cross functional interaction
- Excellent communicator who can articulate a value proposition to a wide range of organizational levels
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Strong contacts with clients and vendors
- Willingness to travel up to 5%-25% of the time during project execution
- Bachelor of Science, Engineering Degree, PMP preferred
- Certifications: SafeGULF, BOSIET; 30 CFR Subpart O; HAZWOPER; And be familiar with Swing Rope; Clean Gulf – Overboard Debris; SEMS Compliance; Well Control certification, Well Intervention, Marine Transportation Awareness, Crane Operations, Clean Water Act, DOT Transportation of Hazardous Materials, USCG Regulations, Rigging/Lift Safety, OSHA. PMP is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment with a computer and phone and will visit offshore platforms and vessels and onshore work sites. Full PPE is mandatory for offshore work including but not limited to hard hat, FRCs, steel toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, and may require gas monitors in certain areas. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud and will require hearing protection.
Temperature of the work environment at clients may be extremely hot or cold.
Travel to client sites by car, airplane, helicopter and marine vessel including overnight stays may be required on occasion.
Candidate is expected to work in an office environment.
