General Description::
The accountant is responsible for providing general financial and accounting management, Utilize OA system records and other documents to submit to FSS for accounting. Prepare tax returns and conduct continuous tax research and analysis, provide financial data analysis for company and audit, and provide compliance advice. Candidate must follow strict code of ethics and offer ethical financial advice, guaranteeing financial stability for our research center. Must create and maintain a culture of compliance and financial excellence.
- Prepares all asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information, submit Sinopec Doc to FSS (中石�-财务共享系统) on a timely manner.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by knowing existing and new legislation, enforcing adherences to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions.
- Prepares tax planning and federal, and state tax returns forms.
- Assist with IRS Exam and State tax audits as needed, responsible for responding to IRS notices timely and efficiently.
- Tax research and analysis is required, on an ongoing basis.
- Complete yearly transfer pricing report, Federal and State tax filing work, Financial statement audit with PWC.
- Assist with the capital expenditure management, timely communicate with the other department regarding the annual investment plan. Assist with the transfer of company fixed assets.
- Effectively communicate with Finance team regarding the deliverables.
- Coordinate and communicate the audit/finance requests with other departments.
- complete professional training and company mandatory training.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: :
- Will be responsible for tracking, researching and resolving accounting related issues.
- Must complete proper taxation reporting procedures.
- Must be highly organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to interface with all levels of management.
- Must be able to meet deadlines timely and efficiently.
- Must be able to prioritize and work independently.
- Must be detail oriented and accurate.
- Must be able to multi-task with professionalism.
- Reliability and punctuality is critical.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Minimum Required Education, Credentials, Licenses and Experience: :
- 4 Year Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting, (from an accredited university) is required.
- CPA certification is required.
- We prefer a mid-senior level experienced accountant having worked 8+ years of progressive accounting roles.- Candidate should have prior experience utilizing SAP accounting module.
- Proficiency in English is required
- Mandarin Chinese language skills are preferred, as the accounting program is primarily Mandarin.
- Must have senior level experience with proficient in all Microsoft software.
- Must have acceptable credit history, as this position is responsible for all aspects of finance and accounting.
- Recent certifications are preferred.
- Some travel may be required.
- No Relocation extended.
