Job Summary (Overall Purpose of the Position)
The purpose of the Energy Services Representative position is to assist in the design of energy services programs, including assistance with program evaluations and quality control of energy services programs. The Energy Services Representative position also administers energy services programs, including administering market research and conducting market research analysis.
Job Duties - Responsibilities – Tasks
•Assists in market analysis through administration of market research studies.
•Assists with contractor and other key partner recruitment and training efforts regarding energy service programs.
•Schedules and evaluates the purpose of the inquiry for on-site customer energy services for Manager of Energy Services and Energy Service Analysts.
•Reviews customer usage, payment status, home ownership, etc., to determine customer eligibility for energy service programs.
•Designs, creates and distributes marketing materials for all energy service programs consistent with objectives, and assists in hosting company functions.
•Administers all energy service programs including scheduling, monitoring results, answering inquiries on the phone and in person, and other assigned tasks.
•Finalizes the completed conservation projects which includes preparing the legal forms for signature(s), paying contractor(s), setting up the customer monthly billing, and apprising the finance department on the costs for each project.
•Provides administrative support for the conservation program, to include: legal correspondence with attorney(s), realtors, banks, county officials, customers, etc.
•Completes month-end responsibilities, which include: calculation of the monthly payment for Efficiency Kansas funding for the conservation program, balancing the conservation billing projects with the finance department, notification to new customers connecting to premises with the conservation plan billing, updating ‘individual initiatives’ as to the conservation projects and monthly contact surveys.
•Oversees the filing of UCC1 Financing Statements of the conservation program which includes confirming the official legal description and property ownership. Responsible of lien release (UCC3 termination) and UCC Subordinations for the conservation program.
•Ensures payment of the Midwest Energy Community Fund semiannual fund distribution based on the committee recommendations.
•Maintain database of customer usages as necessary to calculate energy savings associated with program participation.
•Administer evaluation research.
•Conduct follow-up surveys for Operations and Customer Service contacts and evaluate customer satisfaction associated with contact. Compile analysis and provide reports to Operations and Energy Services Department.
•Conducts market research of other companies to consider opportunities for expanding/refining services.
•Promote safe working habits and enforce all safety rules and regulations of Midwest Energy, Inc. Lead by example in safety compliance and take corrective action on safety violations, defective equipment, and any other practice that may adversely affect a safe working environment.
•Develop and maintain internal and external working relationships for maximum effectiveness in serving Midwest Energy customers and communities. Ensure communication and exchange of information to present a positive corporate image, both internally and externally. Keep management informed of issues that might impact the work environment.
Education and Experience
•Post secondary education required with completion of courses in subjects such as business, mathematics, accounting, science, leadership. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Commensurate combination of experience and education in lieu of requirements above.
•Five or more years applicable work experience required. Applicable experience may include: program administration, customer and trade ally relations, information management, customer service, administrative support, banking, deeds, legal, and property records.
•Experience with Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), required.
•Experience with database management, preferred.
