Wood is recruiting for an Entry Level Electrical Layout Designer to join its Americas (PC) business focusing on support for industrial projects in the Chemical, Forest Industries and Power Generation sectors. This opportunity is hybrid and can be based in Greenville, SC, Tucker, GA, or Charlotte, NC.

•Works under the close supervision of an experienced discipline Designer.
•Functions in a support role, providing drawing and deliverable development while assisting the discipline design team with accomplishing overall project objectives.
•Performs tasks with increasing competency by expanding knowledge and use of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
•Under close supervision, create 3D model designs/drawings from Engineering and Design sketches, mark-ups, go-bys and verbal instruction.
•Coordinate with other discipline designers to ensure verbally received information is communicated and clearly understood
•Assist discipline designers in drawing and deliverable development of Cable Tray, Grounding, Lighting, Power and Underground Plans, Sections and Details, Cable Routing and Various other activities.
•Assist discipline designers and assure drawings are compatible and aligned with project and client requirements
•Participate in all available technical training while continuously improving technical skill sets

Expected:
•Associate’s Degree in Electrical Technology or related field
•0–4 years of industry experience in electrical layout design
•Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced project environment
•Effective verbal and written communication skills
•Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Desirable:
•Familiarity with BIM 360, Bluebeam Revu, and SpecLink
•Experience working on industrial or process-related projects
•Exposure to multi-discipline collaboration within design teams
•Microsoft Suite – Intermediary Knowledge
