General Description
Provide support, coverage, and training to the Mentorship Program in Crook and Weston County. To deliver support, coaching, supervision, and engagement to all match parties to ensure that matches build strong, enduring relationships that result in positive youth outcomes and fulfilling volunteer experiences for mentors. Work closely with Program Coordinator to ensure grant and program requirements are being properly documented, reported, and outcomes are being achieved.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED.
- Driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to work a varying schedule
- Complete outreach in the community to recruit and maintain mentors
- Complete quarterly recruiting plans and monitor recruitment efforts
- Enroll mentors and mentees, including oversight of the application, screening, and matching process
- Work with the Coordinator on starting up and running community and site based programs in alliance with grants
- Be able to implement and follow evidence-based mentoring curriculum/practices
- Complete and keep up-to-date mentor and mentee files
- Complete interviews and create successful matches with mentors and mentees including family input
- Facilitate family/match engagement activities
- Be able to engage parents/guardians/families
- Communicate on an ongoing basis with partners of the program
- Facilitate site base mentoring
- Offer match support to program participants
- Must be flexible to accommodate the needs of program participants
- Be able to ensure all programs evaluations/assessments are being completed
- Always function within the staff guide for success
- Meet grant and program outcomes and report at quarterly improvement meetings
- Ensure all contacts and notes are completed and up-to-date
- Always maintain a safe environment for mentors, mentees, and families
- Maintain a positive attitude, good boundaries, and demonstrate teamwork
- Operates within budget and approve any purchases/requests
- Always function within agencies policies and procedures
- Effective verbal and written communicator
- Organized, effective planning, efficient time management
- Able to change as the job changes4. Ability to travel locally and regionally to meet with volunteers and clients
