Bay Line Construction is seeking to fill the position of a Fleet Mechanic to assist with daily repairs and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment. Bay Line Construction is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground electrical distribution construction. Our fleet consists of multiple types of equipment, ranging from light to heavy duty trucks, aerial bucket trucks and construction machinery.

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicles and aerial equipment are in safe operating condition
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize and complete repair tasks in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns and answering questions related to vehicle maintenance
- Journey level methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably working with fleet vehicles
- Proficient in using power tools and equipment for repairs and maintenance
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, medium, and heavy equipment operation
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including the ability to read schematics and perform basic electrical repairs
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus
- Experience with hydraulic systems is preferred
- Formal Training and Certification is preferred (ASE Certifications in Brakes, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Suspension and Steering, and Heating and Air Conditioning, etc.)
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as required
- Proficient in using power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose mechanical issues accurately
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with drivers and address their concerns
- Journey level skills in auto diesel and light and heavy gas engines.
- Interpret and work from schematics, sketches and blue prints
- · Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.

- Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday
This position requires in person attendance and the ability to commute/relocate to corporate office in Georgetown, DE 19947
Successful Candidates must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
- Must possess valid drivers license with acceptable driving record (Class A Preferred)
