We are seeking an HDD Locator for the Fort Walton Beach, FL area. The ideal candidate will have experience in telecommunications Underground work with the ability to locate for an HDD crew, utilizing primarily late model subsite systems as well as some Digi-track systems.
- Experience with locating & verifying all utilities before construction
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience within telecommunications industry
- Must be knowledgeable of the telecommunications construction industry and have a familiarity with Horizontal Directional Drills
- Ability to use cable placement equipment and tools along with identifying and troubleshooting problems
- Individuals must be able to read prints and have knowledge of the underground processes
- Ability to locate telecom utilities with either Digi-track or Subsite locating systems, preferably both
- Ability to operate equipment; including, but not limited to directional drills, locating systems, trencher, backhoe, excavators
- Ability to operate equipment to trench, place duct, pull cable, and direct bury main-line and drops
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work safely, with or without supervision
- Must be knowledgeable of all typical safety procedures and apply them at all times

- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods with repeated lifting (Up to 50 lbs.), kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching, and be subject to extreme warm and cold temperatures.
