- 5+ years of electrical foreman or supervisory experience recommended- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Own basic hand tools
- Proficiency with NEC (National Electrical Code) and local codes
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, and OSHA safety standards
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
As a General Foreman, you’ll supervise electrical work across commercial construction, service, and healthcare environments, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain a safety-first culture while promoting team development
- Mentor and develop Foremen and Lead Journeymen; assist with crew development plans
- Track and schedule training for crew members; ensure compliance with required certifications
- Monitor efficiency, quality, and safety practices; enforce accountability across crews
- Conduct job briefings and teach risk analysis and mitigation strategies
- Review and approve timesheets for payroll accuracy
- Oversee progression through EST Levels; witness proficiency tests and ensure training standards
- Coordinate manpower, tools, and equipment across multiple projects
- Schedule subcontractors/vendors and communicate with GC, PM, and crews
- Plan projects from start to finish, maintain a three-week look-ahead schedule, and optimize resources
- Review budgets with PM and ensure cost control
- Manage material purchasing and maintain ownership of procurement processes
- Perform safety audits and site inspections
- Assist with interviewing and onboarding new crew members
