Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our dynamic team in a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools and power tools. This role involves supporting the assembly line operations, assisting in the fabrication of products, and ensuring that the shop environment remains organized and efficient.
Responsibilities

Assist in the assembly of products on the production line, ensuring quality standards are met.

Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.

Support fabrication processes by preparing materials and components as needed.
•
Operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse, adhering to safety protocols.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
•
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve production efficiency.
•
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Requirements
•
Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or similar environment is preferred.
•
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools is essential.
•
Familiarity with assembly line processes and warehouse operations is a plus.
•
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
•
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
•
Good communication skills and attention to detail are required.
•
Must be able to lift materials up to 50 pounds as needed.
