To repair and maintain production machines, systems and equipment in a timely and correct manner in order to minimize production downtime.
1. Repair and maintain electric, diesel and LP industrial trucks following manuals.
2. Repair and adjust, using hand tools, conveyor systems.
3. Repair and maintain electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment following blueprints and specifications.
4. Repair and maintain (in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications) machinery and mechanical equipment and pneumatic tools.
5. Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoist, cranes, hand tools and power tools.
7. Align machines and equipment and assemble machines. Bolt, weld, rivet and otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures.
8. Weld metal components together to fabricate and repair products using brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment.
9. May set up and operate metal working tools, such as drill press or grinder, to make or repair parts.
11. Maintain and adhere to ISO standards, including but not limited to, the Quality Policy Statement, work instructions as well as the Quality Control Procedures Manual.
12. Any other duties as directed by a supervisor.
1. One year of heavy industrial maintenance electrician experience and two-year voc/tech electrical maintenance program, or completion of electrical apprenticeship program.
2. Knowledge of electrical systems, piping, hydraulics and welding.
3. Ability to understand and follow process piping systems.
4. Ability to engage in setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining process equipment and machinery.
5. Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
8. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments and welding equipment.
9. A licensed electrician's position requires the possession of a valid Minnesota electrician's license.
10. An unlicensed electrician's position requires successful completion of an internal electrician's examination.
11. Must be able to perform physical demands of the position, which include continuos standing & walking, bending & crouching, climbing ladders & stairs, working overhead. Tolerate and work in temperature extremes. Must be able to lift, in varying positions, up to 50lbs.
