Job Description:
Electralloy/G. O. Carlson is seeking a highly motivated and technically competent Quality Control Coordinator at our Plate Department in our Downingtown PA facility. This position must be able to understand and interpret customer and society specifications. The candidate needs to be able to communicate with customers, sub-contractors, internal departments, and co-workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review all inquiries and orders received from Government Contractors for Nuclear, LEVEL I, and ISR material requirements.
- Review commercial or Aerospace requirements when requested by Sales.
- Confer with Technology on any unusual conditions or requirements if needed.
- Submit purchase orders from Government Contractors to the government representative (DCMA / QAR) for applicable required source inspection.
- Contact with testing subcontractors to establish costs for mechanical and non-destructive testing, and coordination of any on-site testing requirements.
- Review and document all Material Specification revisions that effect Plate orders.
- Implement changes into the ERP system when needed.
- Review, approve, initial, and date subcontractor inspection reports, certifications, and C of Cs for Nuclear, LEVEL I, and ISR orders.
- Compose, print, sign, and date Subcontractors Purchase Orders for testing.
- Print, record, and maintain hard copy data of specifications and technical information for Nuclear and LEVEL I lifetime record retention.
- Become an ISO Auditor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Must have experience with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems.
- Must be willing to travel often locally and occasionally to customers and other facilities.
- Proficient in using a PC and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstration of leadership and problem-solving abilities.
· Must be able to work in a cross-functional, inter-department team environment.
· Must be able to effectively communicate and cooperate with customers, vendors, and interoffice departments/personnel.
