Material processor needed at non-ferrous metal recycling company.
Knowledge, skills, abilities, and other attributes we're looking for:
- Ability to differentiate various types and grades of non-ferrous metals.
- Ability to utilize hand tools, power tools, and other recycling equipment to clean and separate different materials from scrap, surplus, or obsolete equipment.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- No prior experience in metal recycling required.
- Basic math skills required.
- Our work is physically demanding, be prepared to remain on your feet most of the day, briefly lifting or manipulating objects 40 to 50 pounds is common. Materials are oftentimes dirty or contain residual oil.
- A teachable person is needed above all else, there's a lot to learn on the job and opportunity for growth.
We provide specific PPE, gloves, hearing protection, respirators and filters. Prospective employees should have a decent pair of work boots, durable long pants, and other clothing that they are comfortable with getting dirty. We do provide weekly cleaning of work clothing at a local laundromat.
