Job Summary

This role will report to the Manager of Business Analysis and Processes and will also collaborate with the entire C-Suite Leadership Team. This role is crucial to support the Data Strategy and enterprise reporting needs.

This highly impactful individual will help us exploit data to enable efficiencies in analysis and interpretation of information as our organization grows exponentially. The Business Data Analyst will work with cross-functional teams to harness, interpret, and analyze large datasets to support system and process improvement, as well as enable strategic decision-making. The analyst will use various data tools and methodologies to help TransTech make data-driven decisions by providing easy access to data insights and identifying opportunities for improvement in key KPIs. This role will also support the implementation and maintenance of enterprise tools and platforms to drive overall business improvements.

In addition, this role will be responsible for maintaining our newly implemented Microsoft Fabric environment, including the development of Silver layer queries and models. The analyst will also lead the organizational deployment and support of our ChatGPT implementation, helping to integrate generative AI capabilities into workflows and processes across departments.

The ideal candidate should possess natural curiosity, strong analytical and data skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a deep understanding of business operations, AI adoption, and systems integration.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Data Collection and Management:

- Drive the Data Analytics strategy by managing and monitoring the Microsoft Fabric environment.

- Build and maintain Silver layer queries in Fabric, ensuring optimized and validated data sets for business use.

- Support development and implementation of Fabric Data Warehouse architecture, ensuring data governance, reliability, and performance.

- Build processes to improve time to report and enhance data accuracy across all business units.

- Implement robust data cleansing and validation logic to ensure data quality.

- Oversee integration and updates from legacy AWS warehouse and other sources including Smartsheet, Syteline, Procore, and Salesforce.

Data Analysis And Interpretation

- Act as the key data architect by working with cross-functional teams to identify reporting needs and build visualizations that meet business requirements.

- Analyze data for trends, inconsistencies, and insights, and recommend enhancements to existing models.

- Create intuitive and informative Power BI dashboards for the Executive team and operational functions.

- Use SQL, Python, and other scripting languages to automate and streamline data processing.

- Provide cross-platform analytics support for tools like Smartsheet, Google Sheets, Microsoft 365, Procore Analytics, and Salesforce.

Systems & AI Support

- Serve as the key administrator for OneStream software, managing users, permissions, and user support.

- Participate in new acquisition OneStream integrations: data mapping, SQL scripting, validation, and go-live support.

- Lead and support implementation of generative AI tools using ChatGPT, including onboarding, prompt design support, training, and automation enablement across the organization.

- Provide technical oversight of new enterprise tools and system implementations including ADP, ERP systems, and others as needed.

Training & Documentation

- Create and conduct internal workshops and training sessions on Fabric, Power BI, and ChatGPT applications.

- Develop and maintain clear documentation for business processes, technical system configurations, and end-user guides.

- Serve as a knowledge resource for cross-functional teams adopting new analytics and AI tools.

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Chat GPT, ERP systems and data flow.

Education And/or Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or finance (or equivalent experience).

- Three or more years of analysis or Data Analytics experience in a manufacturing, construction, or field services environment.

- Progressive experience in an analytical role preferred.

- Strong experience building data models from concept with little needed direction is preferred.

- Advanced knowledge of financial reporting and planning software such as OneStream or Hyperion.

- Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence systems, Power BI experience preferred.

- Advanced knowledge of Sequel, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

- Experience with ERP database systems is desirable.
