Clearance: Active DoD Secret required
Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Missile System Design
to join a leading defense contractor's Mechanical Engineering team. This role requires expertise in mechanical design, CAD modeling (preferably Siemens NX), mechanical analysis, and testing within aerospace or defense-related projects. The engineer will work on complex missile system components, applying GD&T, conducting tests, and supporting development and integration efforts. Candidates must hold an active DoD Secret clearance
and have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2 years of experience
(or a Master's with no experience).
Essential Functions:
•
Perform CAD design and structural/mechanical analysis using Siemens NX or similar tools.
•
Apply GD&T and mechanical principles to missile system components.
•
Develop and manage test programs and documentation.
•
Support design improvements by leveraging past successful models.
•
Communicate results via reports and presentations to stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
•
Bachelors in STEM with 2+ years of engineering experience or Master’s in STEM with 0 years.
•
Active DoD Secret clearance
(required).
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Masters in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
•
Aerospace mechanical integration experience.
•
Strong communication and technical reporting skills.
