The Administrative Assistant -1 (AA-1) will work on our energy efficiency programs and projects in the Los Angeles greater metropolitan area. They will be part of a team which will identify, define, and coordinate energy efficiency and demand reduction projects for residential, business, and other customers. The Administrative Assistant-1 will be responsible for performing comprehensive on-site and/or virtual energy audits/surveys for, but not limited to residential, small business or commercial customers; audits may include data gathering, energy use analysis, onsite inspections, and customer education.
The Administrative Assistant-1 will be responsible for, but not limited to the following activities:
- Daily/weekly reporting, and interaction with residential, business or commercial customers and public agencies.
- Responsible for audit documentation, cost tabulation, and audit findings in Excel spreadsheets and databases as appropriate.
- Generate energy savings presentations for customers to communicate survey results, cost savings, simple payback, equipment data, and energy efficiency measure recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with energy team, management, public agencies, stakeholders and contractors on energy efficiency projects.
- This position performs other job-related duties as required.
The successful candidate should have the following experience including, but not limited to:
- Working knowledge of basic gas, water and electrical principals.
- A Bachelor’s, AA or Technical school degree is preferred; equivalent work experience in the electric/gas utility field will be considered.
- One year or more of experience in the electrical or natural gas utility industry, facilities management, HVAC design or sales, commercial and industrial lighting, or conservation and energy management is required.
- Ability to analyze, interpret quantitative data and solve practical problems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally, and in writing.
- Organized, reliable, expert in time management, and pays attention to detail.
- Flexible, ability to prioritize assigned tasks, work independently or with a minimum of supervision, and respond to deadlines effectively.
- Ability to use mobile tools i.e. tablets, cell phone, MS Teams, Zoom and web based applications
- Must be fluent and proficient in English; bilingual language proficiency is not necessary but is a plus.
- This position may be full-time, part-time or temporary depending on employer’s requirements.
- The work hours will be from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday or a flex schedule as assigned.
- Position benefits may include Healthcare, Vacation and Holiday hours.
- This position is a field position although the FCI headquarters is located in Cerritos, CA.
