Job Summary
We are seeking a plant-based engineering professional to support Xcel Energy’s Energy Supply Base Capital Projects group. This role will be based at the Pawnee Generating Facility in Brush, CO, and will focus on managing capital projects specific to the Pawnee and Manchief facilities. This position offers a hybrid work schedule of at least 3 days on-site and 2 days remote, providing flexibility while ensuring effective project oversight.
Responsibilities•Lead and manage all emergent capital projects at the Pawnee/Manchief plant from initiation through completion.
•Provide project management support for larger base capital projects at the Pawnee and Manchief facilities.
•Collaborate with the reliability engineering team to develop project scopes and justifications.
•Navigate and manage projects through the emergent capital request system and processes.
•Oversee multiple concurrent small-scale projects (up to 20 at a time), while also contributing to larger capital initiatives.

•Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
•Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making within a fast-paced environment.
•Knowledge of utility or industrial plant operations is advantageous.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field is required.
•Experience in utility or industrial plant environments is preferred.
